Extensive studies into abdominal pain have been carried out using rats and mice. However, differences exist in drug efficacy between rodents and man, making the research of very little value to human health.

The aim of this project is to continue the development of a model on which human pain responses can be measured and modulated in vitro to produce more human-relevant results that also replace the experiments on rodents.

This donation will help us continue this important work.
