Walk for Laboratory Animals 2005

Walk

On Sunday 18th September, supporters of the Dr Hadwen Trust for Humane Research gathered at 26 venues across the country for a massive fundraising sponsored walk.

Despite chilly weather in many places, Walk for Laboratory Animals raised an impressive £20,000 for the Dr Hadwen Trust’s research to replace animal experiments.

Different venues experienced a range of turnouts, but there were many heroes on the day, and many before the day who made special efforts to get extra publicity in their area, including Gloria Simons and Jenny Dulin, who did excellent interviews on Radio Leeds. Joy Weller in Brighton and Sarah Frost in London oversaw some of the strongest turnouts on the day.
