A
Anniversary giving – ask friends and family to celebrate your wedding or anniversary with a donation to the Dr Hadwen Trust. Or you could just organise a party – supporters Sally and Lawrie Stevens celebrated their Silver Wedding Anniversary with a pub party, raising £215.
Auction – organise your own auction evening with items donated by family, friends and even local businesses.
B
Bake a cake – there’s nothing as good as homemade cakes – sell them at work, school, church or to friends.
Barbeque – organise a yummy barbeque and charge friends and family for entry. We can supply a collection box for donations, as well as leaflets to distribute.
Bingo – if you're bingo barmy, this could be a great way to gather friends together and raise money to help replace animals in medical research.
C
Car boot sale – hold a stall at your local car boot sale or organise your own garage sale.
Church group – if you’re an active member of your local church group, suggest the Dr Hadwen Trust as a charity to select for their next fundraising day.
Coffee morning – get everyone together for refreshments and an introduction to the life-saving work of the Dr Hadwen Trust.
Collection boxes – we've got plenty so get in touch if you'd like to organise a street collection or your local shop has agreed to put one at the check-out. You could even leave one in your home or work place for people to drop their change into.
Company giving – a company donation can make a substantial difference to our work, and as we're a registered charity a donation could possibly qualify for Gift Aid meaning the company can claim tax relief. A local company could also sponsor your event.

Dinner party – hold a dinner party with everyone paying for a plate.
Donate – your donations are our lifeblood. Encourage others to donate too – set up a swear box at home or at work; ask your local health-food shop to take one of our collection boxes or set up a standing order to make a regular donation towards our work.
Dressing up or down day – ask your company if you can raise money by charging staff £1 to come to work in casual clothes, fancy dress or choose a theme or colour. Your school or university could also get involved.
Dog walking – could you offer your services to a friend or colleague to walk their dog? Earn some spare cash and give a percentage to the Dr Hadwen Trust.

Events – any type of event can be turned into a fundraiser, just use your imagination and
organise a supportive group of helpers. Why not run a local stall or street collection day? Or have a picnic with entry fee, a sponsored walk, treasure hunt, karaoke evening at your local pub, quiz night – the possibilities are endless!

Fun – whatever you choose to do to raise funds for our vital non-animal research, please have fun doing it! Whether it's a sponsored event or rattling a tin, setting yourself a challenge and working with friends to achieve it can be really enjoyable.
Facebook – join our Facebook group and you can instantly meet hundreds of our fans to swap fundraising ideas and even get sponsorship.
Film Show – get your friends round for a screening of the latest blockbuster and sell popcorn and beverages.
G
Games Night – host a games night for all your friends.
Garden Party – good food, some nice drinks and perhaps some games will get your guests in the mood for donating. Leave collecting tins at strategic points.
Gift Aid – we're a registered charity so remember, if you are a taxpayer, to always choose the option to 'Gift Aid' your donation to us. You'll add an extra 28% to the value of your donation at no extra cost to you!
Gigs – organise a gig at a pub or club with local bands, or how about a comedy evening or talent competition?
Golf – hold a local tournament with your friends or on a grander scale, find an interesting handicap like playing with one eye closed to make it more interesting.
H
Head shaving – the old ones are the best!
Hiking – Pat Innocent hiked the whole of Offa’s Dyke path for the Dr Hadwen Trust. You could tackle something less challenging, but take along a few friends and get sponsored.
Hobbies – what are you good at? Photography? Growing plants? Face painting? Hire out your specialist services for charity, or make something and sell it to raise funds. Supporter and talented artist, Christiane Fagan, designed a beautiful nature diary which she had printed and now sells in aid of the Dr Hadwen Trust. Buy online now.

Imagination – it really pays to think outside the box so ask around for new fundraising ideas and try something new!
In Memorium – do you want to remember a special person or beloved pet with donations to the Dr Hadwen Trust? Go to www.justgiving.com to make a meaningful commemoration by setting up a fundraising page. You could ask your friends and family to give in lieu of flowers.

Join – if you're already a Friend of the Dr Hadwen Trust, ask your friends to become one as well.
Jumble sale – organise a jumble sale or garage sale in a local hall.
Jump out of a plane – not for the faint of heart but if you have a head for heights and a sense of adventure, try a sponsored parachute jump.

Marathon – it doesn't have to be a marathon, any race or fun run will do so get into training and run for animals in laboratories.
Murder Mystery – host a murder mystery game and charge for entry.

Newspapers – a letter in your local newspaper appealing for like-minded people can be a great way to make contact with people interested in raising funds and awareness together.
O
Odd jobs – offer your services for odd jobs like cleaning cars or gardening with the
proceeds going to the Dr Hadwen Trust. Stick to neighbours you know or spread the word widely with leafleting about your services.

Payroll giving – with payroll giving your donation is deducted from your pay before tax. If there's no payroll scheme at your work, ask them to set one up.
Positive hosting – change your website host to e-based.com and 75% of your charges will be donated to the Dr Hadwen Trust. e-based offer web hosting for just £60 a year.
Q
Quiz night – putting quiz questions together and organising a prize can be just as much fun as taking part. Everyone loves a good quiz so get thinking.

Recycle – recycle your mobile phone, ink jet cartridges and jewellery to raise money for our work. You can get a box for your workplace for your ink jet cartridges and mobile phones, or envelopes to give to friends. Call us today and we’ll have them sent directly to you.

Sponsor me – whether it’s a run, walk, silence or bungee jump, think of a personal challenge and ask everyone you know to sponsor you. Set up your own fundraising page at Justgiving.com to maximise your efforts.
Sponsorship scheme – send us a one-off or regular gift, and receive a certificate to keep yourself or give to a friend that shows your donation is helping to sponsor vital research to save dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and more. Visit our store to buy online.
Sport – whether it's you and your mates or the local footy team, organise a friendly contest and get sporty! Netball, cricket, golf, swimming, football, free-running, skateboarding, whatever gets you active can help the Dr Hadwen Trust.
Stalls – run a stall to raise funds for the Dr Hadwen Trust; check out your local village fair or county show for opportunities or just hold one in your high street. Please ensure you get permission first.

Treasure hunt – organise an event around your town or your home with cunning clues for friends to decipher.

Unwanted Gift Sale – sell your unwanted gifts via ebay, or get your friends to donate theirs with all proceeds going to help us fund our work.

Volunteer – volunteer to wash your neighbours’ windows or cars for cash.
Vegetarian feast – hold a veggie dinner party to help raise money to save laboratory animals.
Village fête – a great place to hold a stall and raise funds and awareness for Dr Hadwen Trust.
W
Will – leave a gift in your will to the Dr Hadwen Trust and you could make a massive difference to our work. Over half of our income is from wonderful supporters who leave a gift in their will.
Wine tasting evening – watch the donations roll in as the wine rolls down.
Who’s the baby? – Get your colleagues to dig out their baby pictures and put them up in the tea room – ask people to donate to guess who is who and give a prize for the winner. A guaranteed giggle, whilst raising money to save animal and human lives.
X
Xmas – bit of a cheat but X was really hard! Carol singing is a great festive idea.
Xmas cards - Xmas cards – buy your Christmas cards from the Dr Hadwen Trust or make a Christmas gift donation for your friends with a Dr Hadwen Trust sponsorship certificate. Visit our store.

Young people – you've got bags of energy and imagination, so use it to help replace animal
experiments! Your friends at school, youth group, college or university could help you raise vital funds for our humane research. From odd jobs for your folks to holding your own Dr Hadwen Trust party, do your bit to make a difference.
Yard sale – car boot sale, garage sale or just a good old-fashioned jumble sale, have a clear out at home and make some money for the Dr Hadwen Trust.
Z
Zzz – after all that fun and exertion, put your feet up and have a good rest!
Organise a sleepover with friends – eat pizza, watch films, play truth or dare, or have a spa night and sit around with face packs painting your toenails – just have fun, ask for donations in advance to go into a pot to fund the fun, and the surplus to help fund cutting edge non-animal research.
