Support Our Work

Recycle your mobile phone to help laboratory animals and protect the planet!
In the UK, there are approximately 50 million mobile phone subscribers and it’s estimated that 1 billion handsets will be sold each year by 2009. That’s a lot of mobile phones!
Despite the fact that most of us are likely to upgrade our phone every 18 months, only a fraction of phones (between 5-20%) get recycled. Around 90 million phones are abandoned in dusty cupboards or down the back of sofas, others are simply treated like trash and end up in landfill sites where the metals they contain can pollute the planet.
Help people, the planet and animals by recycling your old mobile phone to raise funds for the Dr Hadwen Trust’s vital work. It’s quick and easy but could make loads of difference. Here’s how:
Post your phone/s to:

Why not collect loads of old mobile phones and help raise more funds for the Dr Hadwen Trust? Let you friends and family know you are holding a collection and ask them to donate their old phones. You could even organise a big collection in your local town centre and get some publicity to drum up support by press releasing to your local media – if you need help with media, email us.
